My Journey to Education
I’m Eric Kenneth Pflug, a father, husband, engineer, and educator with a lifelong passion for teaching and learning.
My journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Science from Stony Brook University, specializing in Material Science.
After starting my career as a Materials and Processes Engineer at Northrop Grumman, I realized my true calling was in education.
This led me to earn a Master’s of Science in Teaching Secondary Mathematics from St. John’s University, where I graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was honored with the Adolescent Education Award in Mathematics.

With over 15 years as a high school teacher and over 20 years as a professional tutor, I currently teach Project Lead The Way (PLTW) courses in Engineering and Computer Science at Southampton High School in Long Island, New York.
My experience spans every level of math from Algebra 1 to AP Calculus, SAT/ACT Math, and beyond.
My engineering and teaching backgrounds allow me to break down complex concepts and make them accessible and engaging for students.
